Elk Garage

We are a Full Service Auto Diagnostic and Repair Facility with Certified ASE Technicians. Elk Garage provides AAA and other auto club towing along a 55-mile stretch of California's Highway One - from the town of Elk to Sea Ranch. We are on call 24/7.

Elk Volunteer Fire Department

The Elk VFD was established in 1956 Department provides fire protection, rescue, ambulance & emergency medical services. The Elk VFD officially became a non-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 1997.

Local Art

Artist's Collective In Elk

We are a group of 30 artists spanning from Ft. Bragg to the north and Sea Ranch to the south, all gathered together in the sweet town of Elk Ca. We offer a vast variety of original fine art, which includes photography, paintings, drawings, jewelry, sculpture, ceramics, pottery, and redwood furniture. We also offer greeting cards for every occasion.

Hours: Monday through Friday: 8:15 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Closed 12:30 – 1:30 for lunch.
Accountable mail and parcels may be picked up Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The Elk Post Office offers a full range of consumer services with a personalized touch. Parcel shipping, shipping supplies, home delivery, box rentals, money orders, passport application services, and more are available. A community bulletin board informs residents about local activities, services, and resources.

Greenwood Community Center

The Greenwood Community Center, established in 1974, offers the residents of Elk a place for cultural, educational and civic events.

Elk/Greenwood Museum & Visitor Center

The visitor center is a museum that displays local artifacts, provides thorough historical information, and is housed inside the old post office building.

Churches

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church

Mass is held Saturday and Holy Days at 4:00 p.m. and Latin Rite Sunday at 10:00 a.m. The church is available for weddings and traditional music programs. Built in 1896, the Blessed Sacrament Church is a mission church of St. Anthony’s Parish in Mendocino, California.
